Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) is the technology of automatically collecting consumption, diagnostic, and status data from a water meter and transferring that data to a central database in order to achieve:
A successful AMR is implemented when the following have been considered:
Reliability in the information that has been captured can be only achieved by using a superior system and water meter with higher accuracies.
The technology provider is involved in the execution of the project throughout from guiding the contractor on proper installation of AMR meters and equipment to final implementation of setting up receiving stations and configuring the data pouring in from the systems.
For the installation of these smart systems in India and across the globe, PCP has tie-up with DIEHL, a company that has successfully delivered smart water meter solutions in Qatar, Bahrain, Dubai, Dammam, and Qassim.
Due to versatile conditions in India, the meter points to be integrated into the AMR system are carefully evaluated, and proper survey and radio/transmission reception study is conducted prior to deploying the system.
Helps the utility and its customers to select multiple suppliers so that if the utility prefers new water meters in future, they are able to acquire the same without the need to invest in new systems for new water meters. The system remains the same and the water meters are compatible with the system. This supports scalability and future proof systems.
